ABB Position Master Edp300 Digital Valve Positioner for Pressure Control Valve
Product Description
Abbb Position Master Edp300 Digital Valve Positioner for Pressure Control Valve
Digital positioner PositionMaster EDP300
The PositionMaster EDP300 is an electronically configurable positioner with communication capabilities designed for mounting to pneumatic linear or part-turn actuators. It features a small and compact design, a modular construction, and an excellent cost-performance ratio. Fully automatic determination of the control parameters and adaptation to the final control element yield considerable time savings and an optimal control behavior.

Features
Compact and Modular Design: Small size and modular structure make it easy to install and adapt to different application requirements. It can be easily integrated with various actuators and systems.
Adaptive Control: Has an adaptive mode that can automatically adjust to maintain control accuracy without the need to adjust zero and span. The self-calibration function allows for automatic parameter adjustment, and parameters can be set and modified by the positioner during automatic operation based on intelligent learning.
Fail-Safe and Protection Functions: Offers "fail-safe" or "fail-lock" functions for single-acting or double-acting actuators. Also has protection functions against power failure and signal loss. For example, in case of power or setpoint signal failure, the "fail-safe" function can make the positioner output 1 vent, and the "fail-lock" function can lock the position.
Versatile Input and Output: In addition to the analog position setpoint, it has a digital input channel with selectable safety functions and a digital output channel for alarm or fault message output. It also supports optional modules for analog and digital output, emergency shutdown, etc.
Communication Capability: Supports HART communication protocols, enabling seamless integration with industrial control systems for remote monitoring, configuration, and control

Applications
Process Industries: Widely used in industries such as petrochemical, chemical, and power generation. For example, in petrochemical plants, it can be used to control valves in refining units, chemical reactors, and pipeline systems to regulate the flow, pressure, and temperature of various media. In power plants, it can be applied to steam turbine control, boiler feedwater regulation, etc.
Oil & Gas Industry: Applicable in onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities, including pipeline control, wellhead control, and emergency shutdown systems, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of oil and gas production and transportation processes.
Water and Wastewater Treatment: Used for controlling valves in water treatment plants to regulate the flow of water, chemicals for purification, and in wastewater treatment processes for sewage and sludge flow control.
Other Industries: Also suitable for industries like pharmaceuticals, food and beverage (in non-hygienic areas such as utility systems), and general manufacturing, where precise control of fluid flow through valves is required and different environmental conditions and safety requirements exist
