Application Features and Advantages
Excellent Control Performance Offers benchmark control performance on both rotary and linear valves, with excellent dynamic and static control, fast response to control signal changes, and accurate internal measurements. It can linearize the valve flow characteristics, minimizing process variability.
Versatile Applicability Can be used for all control valve actuators, suitable for both linear and rotary valves, as well as double and single-acting actuators. Applicable in all industry areas such as petrochemical, oil and gas, power, metallurgy, etc.
Easy Installation and Configuration Simple and fast calibration and configuration can be done through the local user interface (LUI), remotely using Metso FieldCare software, or via distributed control system (DCS) asset management tools. The same device can be used for different valve types and actuator types, and it has an efficient mounting program for all types of actuators. It also supports 1-point calibration feature, enabling mounting without disturbing the process, and is easy to retrofit to existing installations (Neles or 3rd party valves).
Reliable and Robust Design Designed to operate in harsh environmental conditions, with a rugged modular design, excellent temperature characteristics, vibration and impact tolerance, and protection against humidity and dirty air. The IP66 enclosure provides good protection. It is a maintenance-free operation device and is compliant with IEC 61508 up to and including SIL 2 by TUV, ensuring high reliability and safety.

Intelligent and FlexibleSupports local/remote operation and has basic device diagnostics including self-diagnostics, deviation trend, and counters. It also has extended offline test functions.
